Application care

Your software, looked after.

Whether the original team has moved on or your own engineers are busy with what's next, your systems still need patching, backing up and watching. We take that on: hosting, security updates, monitoring and changes, with a named contact rather than a ticket queue.

Who it's for

From startups to listed companies

The original team has moved on

A supplier contract ended, a team was reorganised or key people left, and nobody owns the system now.

Your team is focused elsewhere

Your engineers are building what's next. We keep what they've already shipped patched, monitored and running.

It has to stay up

Customer-facing platforms, portals and internal systems the business relies on every day.

It's falling behind

Frameworks and servers are out of date, and every month the upgrade gets harder.

Every plan

What's included

Hosting

We host it on AWS, or work inside your own cloud accounts, tooling and change processes.

Security updates

Operating system, framework and dependency updates, applied out of hours so your users don't notice.

Backups

Automatic backups, with restores tested regularly. A backup you've never restored is only a hope.

Monitoring

Uptime and certificate monitoring that alerts us the moment something goes wrong.

A named contact

Someone who knows your system and answers your email, not a ticket queue.

A monthly report

What we did, what we found, and anything you should plan for.

Levels of care

As much as you need

Every system is different, so every plan is quoted individually after the takeover audit.

Essentials

For stable systems that need to stay up and stay secure.

  • Everything above
  • Changes and fixes quoted as you need them

Standard

For systems that need regular small changes.

  • Everything in Essentials
  • A monthly allowance of changes and fixes

Dedicated

For platforms your organisation can't do without.

  • Everything in Standard
  • A substantial monthly allowance for development
  • Planned improvements, not just upkeep

Getting started

How it starts

  1. 01

    A conversation

Tell us what the system does, what it's built with, and what worries you about it.

  2. 02

    A takeover audit

We review the code, infrastructure and access, fix anything urgent, and tell you plainly what we found. Quoted up front.

  3. 03

    Handover

We take over hosting or access, set up monitoring and backups, and document how everything fits together.

  4. 04

    Ongoing care

Updates out of hours, a monthly report, and a named contact whenever you need something.

Questions

Good to know

What happens if something breaks?
Monitoring alerts us as soon as something goes down, and urgent problems go to the front of the queue. Response times are agreed in your plan.
How much does it cost?
Every system is different, so every plan is quoted individually after the takeover audit. You'll know the monthly cost before you commit.
Who owns the code and the data?
You do. Everything we set up is documented, and nothing about the arrangement locks you in.
What if we want to move on?
We hand over access, documentation and backups, so whoever comes next can pick it up cleanly.
What can you look after?
Most web applications built with Java, Python, Node.js or TypeScript (Spring Boot, Django, Next.js, React, Vue) on PostgreSQL, MySQL or Oracle, hosted on AWS or Linux servers. If the audit turns up something we can't look after properly, we'll say so.
